| Charlie Affleck's Athletes have had great success this
season, with Jonathon McKenn a winning the Earlston Handicap 90 m sprint,
and the 110m Hawick Handicap sprint, the first person ever to win the
opening 2 sprints. At the British League Match at Pitreavie on Saturday 6th June, Steven Charters and Greg Turnbull were successful in winning the A & B 100 metres, with Steven beating his personal best North Merchiston was also successful in winning the Selkirk Handicap on 13th June and on 21st June, Greg Turnbull won the 110 metres championship race in 12.02 seconds at the Beltane Games in Peebles Charlie is delighted with this brilliant start to the season and let's hope that the athletes training here at North Merchiston go on to even more successes in the near future.
