Capoeira is a unique Brazilian cultural art incorporating diverse movements, music and physical conditioning. As well as being an amazingly interesting, rewarding and fun activity, the practice of Capoeira can also develop excellent fitness, increased flexibility, improved coordination and balance as well as knowledge of another culture.

Using positive reinforcement we work on strengthening the basics and teach new tricks which are interesting and enjoyable for both owner and dog.
Classes will be run by Julie Morrison a highly experienced trainer who has been working with the Dogs Trust as their Trainer Behaviour Advisor since July 2007. Julie has a thorough knowledge of dog behaviour and extensive experience of running classes for dogs at a variety of stages.

Jiu Jitsu is a Japanese martial art that focuses on teaching its students how to defend themselves in real life situations. Sessions will gently introduce you to simple self-defence techniques such as avoiding of a punch, or dissuading an attacker who might try to grab you. You will also learn how to safely fall and roll to allow you to learn more advanced techniques safely. As you progress you will learn more advanced techniques such as throws and weapon defences progressing at a pace you are comfortable with until you are confident dealing with more serious attacks like knives, bottles and chains.

Krav Maga is a self-defence system based on instinctive reactions and natural movements. It draws on techniques from many different martial arts. It is suitable for everyone, regardless of age, gender, and level of fitness. No martial arts experience is necessary.
Krav Maga training is also a great way to release stress, and students of Krav Maga find that they become more confident and more mentally and emotionally resilient through their Krav Maga training.
Monday Lunchtime Meditation
Beginning on Monday 16th September
A 45 minute class where we will begin by gently stretching and warming up the body to
allow us to sit through meditations involving various breathing
techniques. This class aims to bring some stillness into our busy and
overstimulated minds and is suitable for all levels and physical
abilities, as there is the options of sitting on a chair if unable to
sit on the floor.

Healthy Mind, Healthy Body, Self Defence.
Shorinji Kempo is a martial art which focuses on self-defence and spiritual development. It was founded in Japan shortly after world war two. We take inspiration from the philosophies of Japanese and Chinese martial arts as well as Zen Buddhism. Classes typically start with a group warmup and revision of basic techniques, followed by training in pairs. Shorinji Kempo has three groups of technique: Goho (hard technique) involves a wide variety of strikes, blocks, etc., whilst Juho (soft technique) involves joint reversals, releases, restraints, takedowns and throws. Seiho (correcting technique) uses acupressure manipulation of joints and muscles to relieve tension and reduce injury. We also practice seated meditation and practical philosophy. Everyone is welcome to join us, and no martial arts experience is necessary.

Tuesday Mum and Baby Yoga
Beginning on Tuesday 17th September
Suitable for mums 6 weeks post natal following on from your GP check.
Please be aware we recommend waiting 10-12 weeks if you have had a
c-section or stitching.
Practicing yoga with your baby helps the two of you bond and have some
special time together. It also helps ease the mother's achy body
whilst baby develops their motor skills and enjoys the sounds and
interaction of other babies.
These classes can also provide a safe space for you to just 'be' with
baby, whilst being surrounded by other mums who are having the same
experiences as you.
Suggested for babies up until they begin crawling.
Classes are booked in 5 week blocks for £45, and you have the ability
to use these 5 sessions over a 6 week period. Drop in price is £10 per

Always wanted to try tap dancing or haven't done any tap for years? Here's a brand new tap dance class for adult beginners. A 5 week block, suitable for those with no previous experience as well as those who have tapped a little before but would like to start again from scratch.
We'll learn the fundamental steps and technique of tap dance and practise basic moves such as shuffles, tap-springs, and easy time steps. We can then link these together into simple sequences to build confidence and get you dancing.
Taught by Cathy, an experienced swing and tap dancer with a passion for sharing her knowledge.
You don't need to have proper tap shoes to take this course - any flat or low-heeled shoes that don't grip the floor will be fine to start off in. Then when you're hooked, it's a trip to the nearest dance wear shop! Come and give it a go!

YOGA Folk – A fluid Vinyasa class with emphasis on linking breath and movement. Here we will explore sun salutations, standing poses, arm balances, hip openers and inversions.
